Designed for use on structural steel where good performance is required but priming is not an option.
This coating is formulated to have outstanding gloss retention combined with fast dry times.
This coating is formulated to be used as is with the proper spray equipment. Dry time may be shortened by the addition of airflow over the painted part. The air should be fresh air that is not laden with solvents. It is very easy to over paint with this product due to it’s high volume solids content. When this coating is used over a sandblasted surface it is imperative that 2 mils dry be applied over and above the blast profile to maintain long-term durability. As film thickness increases through, cure slows down. Excessive film thickness can lead to mud cracking over time.
| Application | |
|---|---|
| Method | Designed for spray application only. Compatible with air, airless and air assisted airless. Brushing would be limited to very small touch up areas only. |
| Surface Preparation | Surface should be free of all oil, grease and foreign contaminants. |
| Thinning & Clean-Up | Thinning is not required if the proper spray equipment is used. Xylol or Lacquer Thinner may be used for clean up. If HAP compliant solvents are required – MAK, MPK or Butyl Acetate will work. |
