Klinger’s rust conversion coating is recommended for use on all ferrous metals as a rust converter. This product is designed to be used where proper cleaning, or sandblasting of the substrate is not possible, or difficult to achieve. Water-based, extremely low VOC’s, environmentally friendly. It does not contain tannic, or phosphoric acids. This product can be top coated with water-based, or solvent-based topcoats.
For outdoor applications this product should be top coated. Typical applications would be; general metal, marine, tanks and structural steel. For severely corroded steel a second coat of the rust conversion coating is recommended to avoid any pinholes, or breaks in the film.
